Many retailers have complex processes & data requirements for publishing products on their websites. These requirements are in place so that the retailer can represent your products in the best possible way to increase sales. RevCascade uses a proposal system to share your product information and guide you through the retailer's requirements so that we can get your products live as quickly as possible.
A "proposal" is simply a subset of your products that need to be prepared to meet the specifications of the retail partner. Proposals help you and your retailer agree on cost as well as enrich products with the appropriate data attributes.
Most proposals are initiated by your retail partner. A merchandising representative or buyer at the retailer will select the products to include on a proposal. This may be all of the products you have added to RevCascade or it may just be a subset of products. After the products have been added, the retailer will send the proposal to you for approval.
See Merchandising_Overview for additional information on proposals
